Bolt on course for double

Usain Bolt remained on track for a second gold medal at the World Championships in Berlin in the 200 metres.

Bolt breezed into the semi-finals after winning his heat in 20.41 seconds in the Olympic Stadium, the triple Olympic champion completely in control as he eased down across the line.

The 22-year-old Jamaican believes breaking his own world record is not on the cards in the 200m but, after his stunning world record of 9.58 seconds in the 100m on Sunday, nothing can be ruled out.

"I will get to the final and just execute," Bolt said. "I will be running hard. After six races I am feeling all right, a little tired but nothing a good night's rest won't cure."

Marlon Devonish, Britain's sole representative following the withdrawals of Dwain Chambers and Toby Sandeman, also advanced after finishing third in his heat in 20.66secs.
