Bosc earns new deal

Catalans Dragons half-back Thomas Bosc has signed a new three-year contract which will keep him at the Perpignan club until the end of the 2011 season.

The 25-year-old, who is currently in Australia with France for the World Cup, was a revelation this year and finished second behind Wigan's Pat Richards in the Super League scoring chart with 245 points.

"I'm delighted to extend my contract," he said. "I'm very close to the club."

He added: "We have improved a lot since our debuts in Super League and I'm sure we will continue our progression with a new coach and a competitive squad."

Catalans general manager Christophe Levy said: "This is a fantastic news for Catalans. Thomas has done a great job for the club over the last three years.

"He made a lot of progress since his debut in Super League to become a very skilful player. He's an iconic player for the club and a product of the academy."
