Bosingwa: My blue heaven

New Chelsea recruit Jose Bosingwa has realised a "dream" by moving to the Barclays Premier League and has told the club's fans he is coming to Stamford Bridge "to win titles".

The Blues wasted no time diving into the transfer market by securing the Porto right-back's signature for a £16.1million fee in a three-year deal only a day after missing out on the Premier League title to Manchester United.

He told Chelsea TV: "I have friends who are at Chelsea and it's a club I feel I can improve at and grow as a player. I've always had a dream to play in England - I always watched the Premier League as a child, I love the English game and now I'm here, I'm going to work to do my best."

He added: "I played for a big team in Porto and now I'm going to play for a bigger team in Chelsea. My aim is to win titles."

The Portugal international's arrival will place more speculation around the future of Juliano Belletti. The Brazilian has been sidelined in recent weeks, with Michael Essien playing at right-back.

Chelsea's other right-back, Portugal's Paulo Ferreira, signed a five-year deal earlier this season and is unlikely to move on.

Kinshasa-born Bosingwa moved from Boavista to Porto in 2003 - where he played under former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho - and has been their first-choice right-back for the last three seasons.
