Brave Bulls shock Saints

Bradford started and finished an extraordinary match in sensational fashion to inflict a shock 34-30 defeat on engage Super League leaders St Helens.

Bradford threatened such an unlikely result in a storming opening with Semi Tadulala crossing over twice but, when St Helens produced a 12-minute purple patch just before half-time to open up a 26-10 lead, they looked to have blown it.

However, Steve McNamara's men demonstrated exceptional resolve with Michael Worrincy scoring a second-half brace of tries in a pulsating final quarter to claim a famous victory.

Reigning champions Leeds were booed off again at Headingley Carnegie after slumping to a second successive shock home defeat in the engage Super League, losing 21-4 to Harlequins.

A vibrant and spirited Harlequins outfit did the damage with two tries in the opening 14 minutes from centre David Howell and hooker Chad Randall.

The Rhinos never recovered as Howell grabbed his second in the 78th minute to confirm a fifth defeat in seven matches in all competitions for Brian McClennan's men, who claimed a last-minute consolation through Rob Burrow.

A 30-20 home reverse at the hands of struggling Salford on Easter Monday was difficult enough for the Rhinos to stomach but this performance was arguably worse.
