Bridge admits Cole frustration

Bridge, who admitted on Thursday that he quit Stamford Bridge in frustration at playing second fiddle to Cole, is hoping to impress England coach Fabio Capello.
"It was in the back of my mind," said Bridge of the part his England aspirations played in his departure from Chelsea. "It is something every player wants to do, to play for his country not sit on the bench and so it is more about playing football."
He added: "I wouldn't say I'm better than Ashley Cole but I would like to think I am up there with him.
"But first of all I have to start playing well for Manchester City."
The former Southampton defender revealed his frustrations at Chelsea.
"I thought I was going to get a lot more games than what I had been doing," he said.
"It just was not happening and it was probably the most frustrated I have been.
"There was a time when I had a string of games in the first team and then Ashley Cole came straight back in.
"Maybe he (Chelsea boss Luiz Felipe Scolari) thinks Ashley Cole is a better left-back than me. No matter how well I played I was never going to establish myself there."
