The former Chelsea left-back, who completed his £10million move from Stamford Bridge at the weekend, is eagerly anticipating manager Mark Hughes flexing the club's financial muscle to bring more stars to Eastlands.
"There are some quality players here already and I'm looking forward to playing alongside them," he said "There's a lot of talk of bringing more players in so I'm looking forward to that too."
After the takeover by the Abu Dhabi United Group earlier in the season Hughes can now finally spend the millions which have been made available to him.
Blackburn striker Roque Santa Cruz, whom Hughes signed for Blackburn last season, West Ham midfielder Scott Parker and forward Craig Bellamy - known to Hughes during his time as Wales manager and Rovers boss - have all been linked to the club.
Outside of the Barclays Premier League the latest big name to be linked with City is Juventus striker David Trezeguet.
The Frenchman joins a host of other top stars, which includes the likes of Inter Milan's Adriano, Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon and Villarreal midfielder Marcos Senna, about whom speculation has been rife for the last month or so.
Bridge added: "Obviously, and most importantly, I want to show the fans here and everyone around that I can do well at Manchester City.
"I'd like to think I'm coming into my prime. I've got a good engine and a good left foot so I'll be looking forward to showing that on the pitch."
