After a bright start to their maiden Barclays Premier League campaign, the Tigers have won once in 15 matches and taken just two points from the last eight games. It is a run which has seen some supporters venting their frustration at Brown.
"I can't understand why any Hull fan would question the ability and the decisions of Phil Brown," Duffen told the Hull Daily Mail. "I think it is disgraceful. Fans have to trust the manager."
He added: "I do think it is a vocal minority. But I find it shocking that some fans have already forgotten how well this football club is doing.
"People following the club now are privileged to be doing so, because it is the most successful period in the club's history.
"For some fans to be taking that for granted is a great shame. Fans need to support the manager, whatever happens this season."
