Bruce set to miss Gunners test

The 46-year-old was expected to be unveiled as the Latics' new boss on Thursday after his embarrassing non-appearance at a press conference on Wednesday, but his appointment has continued to be put on hold due to an 11th-hour issue between Bruce and his former club Birmingham.
It has been two and a half weeks since the departure of Chris Hutchings as manager and officials are keen to get Bruce on board as soon as possible.
Caretaker boss Frank Barlow remains in charge and took training on Thursday, but the need for stability at the JJB Stadium is clear.
The club's last win was in August against Sunderland, and after losing their last seven games they have slipped to second from bottom in the Barclays Premier League.
But the frustration continued for Wigan fans with Birmingham chairman David Gold unable to confirm when the situation will be resolved, admitting he was as much in the dark as anyone else.
"The problems will be solved in due course," Gold told Sky Sports News.
Asked about a timescale for Bruce's departure to be confirmed, Gold added: "I really don't know at this stage, I am as much in the dark as you are."
It appears Blues are claiming they are owed an advance payment of £225,000 by Bruce for image rights.
That is despite the fact Birmingham are due to receive £3million in compensation, with £2million payable immediately and another £1million due if Bruce keeps Wigan in the top flight.
