Bulls swoop for Kearney

The 26-year-old, who missed virtually the whole of the 2009 season after sustaining a foot injury in the opening game, will team up with the Bulls in November as a straight replacement for stand-off Ben Jeffries, who is returning to Wakefield.
"He's had a tough year but had made massive strides before the injury and is very highly thought of in Australia," said Bradford coach Steve McNamara. "We know all about Brett's pedigree and when he played well, Cronulla played well. He's very elusive, scores tries and will bring a lot to us."
Kearney, who will join fellow countrymen Glenn Hall and Heath L'Estrange at Odsal next season, added: "Playing in England is something I've been thinking about and coming off contract this year, it was a good opportunity to come over.
"Bradford have been a club at the top of the Super League for a time now and that obviously played a big part. They are a very professional club from everything I've heard."
