Defending champion Angel Cabrera will play alongside 2007 Open winner Padraig Harrington and American Davis Love III at next week's US Open.

South Africa's Trevor Immelman, who triumphed at the Masters in April, tees off with Zach Johnson and Canadian Mike Weir.

Current European Tour Order of Merit leader Miguel Angel Jiminez is paired with Boo Weekley and Japan's Shingo Katayama, while 2005 champion Michael Campbell of New Zealand is in the same group as Sweden's Jesper Parnevik and American Todd Hamilton.

English trio Ian Poulter, Paul Casey and Luke Donald are grouped together as they chase their first major, while Sergio Garcia is paired with world number 12 Stewart Cink and three-time major winner Vijay Singh.

Jim Furyk, who won at Olympia Fields in 2003, is paired with Steve Stricker and KJ Choi.

On Thursday, US Open organisers announced that Tiger Woods will play alongside Phil Mickelson and Adam Scott, with Ernie Els, Justin Rose and Geoff Ogilvy making up another group.

Woods' group tees off at 8.06am local time, while Els, Rose and Ogilvy tee off at 1.36pm.
