Capello targets World Cup

New England manager Fabio Capello is convinced he can guide the national side to World Cup victory.

The 61-year-old Italian will be officially unveiled on Monday but the former AC Milan, Juventus, Roma and Real Madrid coach has already outlined his vision.

"My life could have been easy but I need a challenge -- and the biggest challenge in football is to lift England to the stars," he told the News of the World. "I will win the World Cup. If I didn't think that, I would not have taken the job. I would have continued playing golf."

He added: "I will do everything I can to make the England team successful."
