Cash: Murray can be future champion

"It is a shame Andy had to withdraw because it has taken the edge off Wimbledon for the British public and for me too, because I think he is a great player and he is a real shot to win it one day," said Cash, the 1987 Wimbledon champion.
"I think Wimbledon (is his best chance of a grand slam title) because he gets a bit more out of his game than on a hard court and it is a little bit easier on the body."
He added: "He is not one of these players who can play five sets day after day. He is clearly slightly injury prone. He needs to be a little bit easier on his body and grass will do that.
"Having said that, I think he has a good shot at the US Open as well. He has a lot of potential in all the grand slams."
But Cash also hopes the British public will use the opportunity to embrace some of the game's other leading stars rather than focusing so heavily on the home contingent.
"It is a really good chance to watch some of the foreign players instead of concentrating so much on the British," said Cash.
"I expect Roger Federer will win the title again."
