Chelsea have confirmed their Barclays Premier League fixture against champions Manchester United will go ahead despite the cold snap.
The cold weather has seen several sporting events postponed this weekend due to snow and frozen playing surfaces.
But Chelsea said there were no major problems at Stamford Bridge and the game will be played at 4pm as planned.
"Today's Barclays Premier League fixture against Manchester United WILL go ahead as planned," a statement on the club's website said.
"The Stamford Bridge site and surrounding area is being cleared of snow and local transport is working."
"Kick-off is at 4pm. Supporters are advised to allow extra time for their journeys."
One of the football matches is off, with Derby County's npower Championship derby meeting with local rivals Nottingham Forest postponed on safety grounds.
The match was due to kick off at 12.15pm, but heavy snow last night has left roads and pavements around the ground dangerous, and the club have called off the fixture after discussions with the match officials, police, the Football League and Forest.
Derby chief executive Tom Glick told the club's website: "The pitch is fine and inside the stadium is safe and dry. However, the roads throughout the city and county are unsafe.
"This is the biggest match of the year for our supporters and we wouldn't want anyone to miss it because they had difficulty getting to Pride Park Stadium."
