City trio up for sale

Manchester City have made Ousmane Dabo, Danny Mills and Paul Dickov available for transfer.

Manager Sven-Goran Eriksson will listen to offers for Dickov, Mills and Dabo, the Frenchman who was at the centre of an alleged training ground incident with Joey Barton.

Eriksson is preparing to clear out the players he deems surplus to requirements as he closes in on his ninth signing with the arrival of Australian midfielder Mark Bresciano for £3million from Palermo.

There could be more heading for the exit.

Eriksson signalled his intent before the weekend by suggesting that his ideal squad size was around 23, including two goalkeepers.

With Swedish keeper Andreas Isaksson out for six weeks with a thumb injury, Eriksson could make a transfer move before Saturday's Barclays Premier League opener at West Ham.
