Clarets confirm Cotterill exit

The 43-year-old took the helm at Turf Moor in June 2004 after previously managing Cheltenham and Stoke and working under Howard Wilkinson at Sunderland.
A statement from the Clarets, who currently lie 15th in the Championship, said: "Burnley Football Club confirm that first team manager Steve Cotterill has left the club by mutual consent."
The statement continued: "Burnley Football Club would like to place on record their thanks to Steve Cotterill for his hard work and commitment to the club since he took the role in June 2004. There will be no further comment at this time."
Chairman Barry Kilby and operations director Brendan Flood are to hold a press conference on Friday.
