Collingwood gets England back on track

Having decided to bat first after winning the toss, the tourists looked unlikely to eclipse their total in Tuesday's victory at Eden Park after losing four wickets for 11 runs in 16 balls.
But Collingwood teamed up with Owais Shah in a record 102-run fifth wicket stand which helped England reach 193 for eight - nine more runs less than Tuesday's total of 184 for eight at Eden Park.
On that occasion England had to recover from the early loss of Sussex all-rounder Luke Wright, but this time he forged an exciting 65-run opening stand with Phil Mustard, an England record for Twenty20 cricket.
Mustard set the tone by edging seamer Chris Martin over third man for six in the second over and followed that by driving Kyle Mills for six down the ground.
His attacking strokeplay was the catalyst for Wright, whose previous highest score as an opener at this level was three, to match Mustard almost stroke for stroke in a productive opening stand.
At one stage the pair added 30 runs in only eight balls, including 22 off the seamer Paul Hitchcock in his first over back after four years in the international wilderness after replacing spinner Deepak Patel in New Zealand's line-up.
But the loss Wright for a powerful 30 off 19 balls, yorked by Martin, was the catalyst for a top-order collapse with Kevin Pietersen following in the next over when he was trapped lbw after missing a full toss.
Ian Bell fell in the next over when he pushed to mid-on and called for a single after a mis-field only for Ross Taylor to throw down the non-striker's end.
Mustard completed England's collapse when he was caught in the deep after hitting 40 off 24 balls, including three fours and three sixes, to leave captain Paul Collingwood and Owais Shah needing to rebuild the innings.
