Colly faces bowling dilemma
03 January 2007
Collingwood must decide whether to bring back seamer Ryan Sidebottom, who missed the 79-run win with a virus, or stick with his young bowling attack - Stuart Broad finished with three wickets, while Liam Plunkett and Jimmy Anderson claimed two each.
"We'll have to assess what our next team is," said Collingwood. "There is a lot of competition at the moment for certain places and that's great for the England team."
Collingwood feared England were up against it with their modest score of 225 until his seam attack responded with a stunning display.
"It was helpful for the bowlers but what I asked them to do was be aggressive and get the ball in good areas for Lord's, and they certainly did that," added Collingwood.
"They took that same intensity that we had in the Twenty20 matches into the Lord's game and I thought it worked really well.
"We fielded like a pack of hounds and it really does feel good in the middle when we are in it together."
