Coughlan involved in probe

McLaren chief designer Mike Coughlan has been officially identified as the man the team are investigating in the Formula One spying probe.

Coughlan had already been linked to former Ferrari head of performance development Nigel Stepney who has been dismissed by the Italian manufacturer.

But now Coughlan, currently suspended by McLaren, has been named in papers for High Court action which is due to begin in London on Tuesday.

Ferrari and McLaren have so far steered clear of naming Coughlan but the High Court Chancery Division listings for Tuesday include a preliminary hearing in the case of Ferrari Spa v Coughlan & Anr (another).
