Crabtree pens new Giants deal

Huddersfield prop Eorl Crabtree has signed a new-six year contract with the Giants.

The 26-year-old, who is club's longest-serving player after nine seasons at the Galpharm Stadium, is now committed until the end of 2015.

Crabtree said: "As a native of Huddersfield, I have always been proud to represent the Giants, especially through an era when they have progressed from National League One to become a force in the engage Super League."

He added: "The club is now challenging for Grand Final and Challenge Cup honours, playing in a world-class stadium in front of growing crowds.

"At a time when I have gained full international honours and approaching my prime as a prop forward, I have had no hesitation committing myself to the Giants for the next six years."

The in-form England international, instantly recognisable as one of the tallest players in Super League at 6ft 5in, has also been awarded a testimonial in 2010.

Crabtree made his England Test debut against France in Paris last month.
