Crossman signs for Hull KR

Hull KR have completed their rebuilding for 2008 with the capture of Melbourne Storm prop Garret Crossman on a two-year deal.

The 24-year-old front-rower is a former junior Kangaroo, and coach Justin Morgan said: "It's great to be able to attract a player with such experience and knowledge of the game.

"As a club we are looking to move forward and build on what we have already established within Super League, and I'm sure Garret will become a fans' favourite."

In order to accommodate Crossman on their books, Rovers have released former Halifax and Huddersfield prop Jim Gannon from the final year of his contract.

"Jim is a consummate professional who played a significant role in retaining our Super League status for 2008," said Morgan. "I'm positive Jim will be a good acquisition for his next club."
