Cuellar happy with life at Ibrox

Rangers defender Carlos Cuellar revealed his contentment at Ibrox after being named Clydesdale Bank Premier League player of the year - then claimed the club would win the quadruple.

The Spaniard was voted the SPL's top player after a superb debut campaign since his summer move from Osasuna and he believes it is going to get even better with success in the UEFA Cup and a domestic treble.

"I think we will win the four trophies," Cuellar said. "I know my team inside out and we have a very good chance to win every trophy."

The CIS Cup winners will take a huge step towards the title if they win at Celtic on Wednesday before playing semi-finals against St Johnstone and Fiorentina.

He added: "It's very very important because if we win on Wednesday we will have a very important lead - seven points.

"I have a contract for three years. I want to stay at Rangers for life.

"I always liked the idea of playing in a big league with other big players but now I'm very happy here.

"I play in the Champions League, I can win the league, the UEFA Cup - now I'm playing in a big team in Europe.

"La Liga is the best league but when you play in a normal team, you play maybe one year in Europe. Here you can play every year in the Champions League.

"Osasuna are usually in the middle of the table, they maybe play in the Champions League one year in 20."
