Cullen under pressure

Warrington coach Paul Cullen is starting to feel the heat after St Helens prolonged his side's miserable run in the engage Super League.

The Wolves produced a spirited showing to lead the champions 12-6 at half-time at the Halliwell Jones Stadium but then slumped spectacularly to lose 40-12.

Cullen, whose side have won only once in their last seven games, said: "Pressure comes with the job and it is an uncomfortable position."

He added: "The first 40 minutes was very good, second was not, and it is very simple really.

"We moved away from the formula which worked so well the first 40 minutes but there was a drain of confidence and energy when the ball hit the floor.

"One or two players were carried away by the success of the first 40 minutes."
