Dallaglio relishing final game

Retiring Wasps captain Lawrence Dallaglio is ready for the last great challenge of his career in Saturday's Guinness Premiership final with rivals Leicester, and predicted: "It will be very tasty."

Dallaglio, a one-club man throughout an 18-year career which spanned the amateur and professional era, will lead Wasps for the final time at Twickenham.

"They're the champions, we're the challengers. It will be a Test match in everything but name, and it's going to be a massive challenge," said Dallaglio. "But we are bang up for it. Myself and my team have been in this situation many times before, and we understand how to prepare for a big occasion."

Wasps will also bid farewell to Fraser Waters, whose role in the club's success in recent years has often been overlooked by those outside of Adams Park.

Waters, who is bound for Treviso in the summer, is the on-field general in charge of running Shaun Edwards' blitz defence.

"Fraser has been one of the best," said Edwards. "But there will be no talk of this being his last game because one thing this club doesn't do is sentimentality.

"What this club does do is try and win big matches. I will leave that in the able hands of my captain, who is very experienced in that field."
