Simon Gillett, CEO of Donington Ventures Leisure Ltd, has turned to Red Grouse Properties to oversee the multi-million pound revamp of the Leicestershire circuit. The clock is ticking for Gillett to get the track up to scratch, in particular with Silverstone recently expressing their confidence of holding the race in 2010 despite losing the contract to Donington.

But Gillett sees Red Grouse Properties, run by Jayne McGivern, as the company that can deliver, and a Donington Park statement read: "Jayne is a highly respected businesswoman who is credited with turning around the Wembley project and was heavily involved in the purchasing of the Millennium Dome from the government to convert it into the 02 Arena."

The statement continued: "Her appointment is a further signal of Donington Park's strong commitment to delivering a high quality, fan-friendly Formula One event for the next 17 years, for which we hold the contract.

"Jayne will ensure that all of the new work on site is completed in a timely manner and to the highest standards."
