Dorrans wins Scotland call

West Brom midfielder Graham Dorrans has been called up for Scotland's crucial World Cup qualifier against Holland on Wednesday.

Dorrans, 22, along with Cardiff midfielder Gavin Rae, 31, have been drafted in after James McFadden and Callum Davidson were ruled out of the final Group Nine match through suspension and injury respectively.

Dorrans has not played for the senior team before but has represented Scotland at Under-21 and Under-20 level while Rae, who has made 14 appearances for his country, last featured in April's 2-1 win over Iceland.

Scotland go into the encounter knowing victory is needed to give them the best possible chance of reaching the qualification play-offs, anything else would more than likely not prove good enough.
