Dunga hails Brazil squad

Coach Dunga felt his players` tactical discipline was the main reason behind Brazil`s Copa America triumph.

A 3-0 victory over rivals Argentina in the final capped a successful tournament for the Brazilians as Dunga captured his first title at the helm of the national side without several key players and in the face of fierce criticism from sections of the Brazilian media.

"We settled into our own style, we knew how our rivals played and the ability to meet expectations were very important reasons for our victory in the tournament," he said. "Because of all Argentina had done and the goals they scored during the tournament, they were favourites to win. However, we won over 90 minutes."

Daniel Alves had a hand in the second goal before scoring the third that clinched the title after coming on for the injured Elano and Dunga was full of praise for the Sevilla defender.

"He is a player that knows how to mark and his pace in the second and third goals were very important," he added.
