Duo put India in command

Contrasting half-centuries from Virender Sehwag and Sachin Tendulkar have given India the upper hand on day one of the fourth Test against Australia in Nagpur.

Sehwag (66), along with Murali Vijay (33), got India off to a wonderful start with a swift 98-run opening stand before Australia hit back with a couple of wickets for debutant off-spinner Jason Krejza.

However, India consolidated with an unbeaten 86-run partnership for the fourth wicket between Tendulkar (62 not out) and VVS Laxman (34no) as the home side reached 202 for three at tea.
