ECB delay naming England squad

Graeme Swann has been carrying an elbow injury in recent weeks while the likes of Michael Vaughan and Ian Bell are desperate to impress selectors at domestic level after falling out of the international reckoning.
National selector Geoff Miller said: "The selectors have met but have decided that we need more time to assess players who are returning after injury."
He added: "We also felt that by delaying the selection for the first npower Test match it allowed us the opportunity to see another round of LV County Championship matches before deciding on the squad."
The ECB also confirmed the squad and captain for the ICC World Twenty20 will be revealed on May 1, the same day selectors will unveil the squad for the three one-day internationals against the Windies.
The announcement on the England Lions squad to face West Indies at Derby starting on April 30 will be made this Monday as planned.
The squad for the two-Test series was due to be announced on Monday but will now be revealed on April 29.
