England bowl first at the Oval

There was no football in sight at the Oval after Thursday's mishap when Joe Denly became the third England player in five weeks to pick up an injury in the kickabout.
Denly twisted his knee and was scheduled to see a specialist on Friday morning after a scan on Thursday proved inconclusive due to swelling around the injury.
Denly's absence meant Strauss was due to continue his one-day opening partnership with Ravi Bopara which worked so well against West Indies.
It was one of three changes from the England team which beat Ireland by three runs in Belfast in a 50-overs warm-up last week.
Stuart Broad came in for Jonathan Trott and James Anderson replaced Tim Bresnan.
Australia made four changes from the side which beat Scotland in Edinburgh, bringing in Mike Hussey, Callum Ferguson, Nathan Bracken and James Hopes but after winning the toss Strauss decided to bowl.
England: Strauss, Bopara, Prior, Shah, Collingwood, Wright, Broad, Rashid, Swann, Sidebottom, Anderson.
Australia: Watson, Paine, White, Clarke, Ferguson, M Hussey, Hopes, Johnson, Lee, Hauritz, Bracken.
