Ravi Bopara and Luke Wright both blasted half-centuries as Paul Collingwood's side eased beyond their 145-run victory target with 32 balls to spare.
Bopara fell for 60, from 35 balls, to occasional spinner Shivnarine Chanderpaul.
Bopara dominated the early chase but Wright overtook him and was first to reach his 50, thanks to three consecutive sixes off Kieron Pollard in the ninth over.
England, who open the tournament proper with a contest against Holland on Friday, claimed victory when Fidel Edwards sent down a no-ball, leaving Wright unbeaten on 75.
