England duo back in training

England are expected to be able to call on the services of Mike Tindall and Ugo Monye for this weekend's RBS 6 Nations clash with Wales.

Both players missed Saturday's 36-11 win over Italy at Twickenham with back injuries but are in line for a recall after completing training today.

A statement from the Rugby Football Union said: "Mike Tindall is making a good recovery from his back injury and trained on Monday afternoon. It is expected that Mike will be available for selection to face Wales on Saturday. Ugo Monye has also recovered from his back injury."

Tindall was withdrawn from the England squad to play the Azzurri after injuring his back during a gym session last Thursday.

London Irish scrum-half Paul Hodgson has also been called up to the squad in place of Danny Care, with the Harlequins man ruled out of the game against the reigning Six Nations champions due to injury.

David Wilson and Jordan Crane also trained with the squad today after they were brought in as cover for the front and back rows.
