England lose early wickets

England's bid to finish their one-day tour of Sri Lanka on a high was undermined by the loss of two early wickets in today's final one-day international at the Premadasa Stadium.

Chasing Sri Lanka's modest 211, England were struggling to repeat their last three performances in the series - and slumped to 52 for two after 15 overs.

Left-arm seamer Chaminda Vaas claimed the early breakthrough when he had Phil Mustard brilliantly caught behind for one, and Ian Bell was then superbly deceived by Dilhara Fernando's slower ball and chipped to mid-on.

Earlier in the day, Chamara Silva top-scored with 73, while Stuart Broad was the pick of the England attack, finishing with three for 36.
