Eriksson eager for Thaksin talks

However, the Swedish manager stressed that the intended talks are more to do with taking the club forward rather than his future.
Eriksson said: "I haven't spoken to Dr Thaksin yet but hopefully I will do during the weekend."
He added: "I want to speak to him about the future of the club as it is important."
City have been linked with Barcelona superstar Ronaldinho and CSKA Moscow's Jo.
While Eriksson refused to comment on the speculation, he said: "In general, if we are going to sign players for next season they must be world class players.
"We have a very good team but if we want to go one step further we have to take in top class players."
Meanwhile, the agent of City target Jo believes "something will happen" in the near future to allow the CSKA Moscow striker to move to Eastlands.
It was claimed in a report earlier this week that the 21-year-old Brazilian - whose full name is Joao Alves de Assis Silva - was set to sign for the club in a euros 20 million deal despite recently extending his contract with the Russians to 2011.
His agent Marcelo Djian believes a move can be agreed, despite apparent differences in the valuation of the player, as he told www.globoesporte.com: "I've made some calls to Russia and they told me there was no formal offer, but I think something will happen. I know CSKA president (Evgeny Giner) wants 25 million euros, the release clause to sell Jo."
