Eto'o: My future is with Barca

Barcelona striker Samuel Eto'o insists he is happy at the Nou Camp ahead of contract talks at the end of the campaign.

The 28-year-old's current deal expires in just over a year, with Tottenham and Chelsea reported to be aware of his situation. Barca president Joan Laporta talked with Manchester City officials earlier in the week but that was explained as a contact-building meeting.

"My future is with Barca. If I wasn't happy where, I would already have told [Joan Laporta]," Eto'o said on Spanish television programme Hora Q.

"If it was up to him, we would already have sat down to discuss the issue, but because of what's at stake for us and out of respect for my colleagues, now is not the time to talk about wages or whether I will stay on for another five or six years.

"When the season finishes and everything goes well, Pep [Guardiola] will tell me that he's happy with me and to go talk to [Laporta]."
