Exiles sign up Elvis

London Irish have signed Samoa centre Elvis Seveali'i from Sale Sharks.

The well-travelled 30-year-old, whose previous clubs also include Ospreys and Bath, was a Guinness Premiership winner with Sale in 2006.

Seveali'i said: "I'm looking forward to playing for London Irish. Having played against the club, I like the style of rugby the team plays and I'm also looking forward to linking up with my friends Seilala Mapusua and Sailosi Tagicakibau."

Exiles head coach Toby Booth was delighted to secure the signing, adding: "Elvis will enhance and add depth to our potent midfield. He shares the same work and playing ethos as Seilala Mapusua and brings valuable international and Premiership experience to us."
