FA confirm friendly dates

The Football Association have confirmed England will take on the Czech Republic in a friendly at Wembley in August as well as the United States in May.

Fabio Capello's side will meet the Czechs on August 20 in preparation for England's 2010 World Cup qualifying campaign, while the United States Soccer Federation have confirmed they would travel across the Atlantic for a friendly on May 28.

The FA have now also confirmed the USA date, which will be the third friendly of Capello's tenure.

USA head coach Bob Bradley said: "We have consistently said that one of our goals is to play matches against good opponents and in environments that will really challenge our team."

He added: "In addition to the quality of the English team, the tradition and passion for the sport in that country, the media focus, and the intensity of the fans all combine to make this a fantastic opportunity for our group."

He continued on the United States Soccer Federation website, ussoccer.com: "We are very pleased with the schedule we have put together to help us prepare for World Cup qualifying."
