Federer to face Querrey

Roger Federer will begin his quest for a first French Open title against world number 41 Sam Querrey.

Federer has 12 grand slam titles to his name but is yet to claim the crown at Roland Garros, where he has been beaten in the final by three-time champion Rafael Nadal the last two years.

The world number one warmed up for the tournament by reaching the final of the Hamburg Masters last week, losing in four sets to Nadal, who will face a qualifier in the opening round.

British number one Andy Murray will play French wild card Jonathan Eysseric in the first round.

Should he beat left-hander Eysseric, Murray would play either Slovakia's Dominik Hrbaty or Argentinian Jose Acasuso in the next round.
