Fergie: Tevez must be patient

Tevez provided Ferguson with a selection dilemma ahead of Saturday evening's clash with Sunderland by scoring four times against Blackburn in the Carling Cup in midweek. Ferguson must now decide whether to split what seems to be his preferred strikeforce of Wayne Rooney and Dimitar Berbatov.
And the United boss said: "We are not being dismissive of the problem but it is not as if Carlos has been short of games. He is playing enough games and I am sure he will be pleased with his performance on Wednesday."
He added: "We are not saying he must sit on his hands because we have Berbatov and Rooney.
"You don't get many players who score four goals these days and it got us into a semi-final."
Ferguson has spent time working out how he can accommodate his star strikeforce. In truth, he cannot, especially as Ballon D'Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo also expects to be involved.
It means someone is bound to be frustrated on an almost continual basis. However, Ferguson prefers that situation than the alternative.
"It is obvious Carlos doesn't enjoy it," said the United chief. "He wants to play. But do I want players who are quite happy to sit in the stand?
"I have to manage that situation the best I can. I understand he wants to play. I want to pick a team that wins. I have to be as fair as I possibly can. Performances do matter and his performance on Wednesday gives me a big problem."
