Fisher lifted by Shanghai display

Ross Fisher admits his confidence has been boosted by a superb display at the HSBC Champions in Shanghai.

Fisher and Lee Westwood lost out to world number two Phil Mickelson in a play-off, but the Wentworth-based Englishman described the tournament as a "great week".

"I've pushed the world number two all the way and I've beaten guys like Ernie (Els) this week and obviously Monty [Colin Montgomerie] missed the cut," said Fisher. "There are a lot of good things to come out of this week. I wanted to come here to win, obviously that wasn't the case, but I can walk out of here with my head held high."
