Flintoff on course for Ashes

Flintoff needed surgery on a knee injury sustained playing in the Indian Premier League in April which ruled him out of the one-day series against West Indies and the World Twenty20 tournament.
"He's coming out of it really well," the former England coach told Sky Sports News.
"He can bat and he can start doing some more running and physical work. Certainly watching him play in the nets he looks in good nick with the bat already, which is great for him.
"Fred's got to focus. He's got the Ashes - that's the timeframe he's working towards. I think he's pretty confident at the moment that things are going well so I think we'll take it day by day."
Moores is reluctant to specify when the 31-year-old will return to competitive action, however, adding: "You don't want to put a date on it because in some ways you put the player under pressure. What I do know is that Fred's totally committed to it.
"He's working his socks off. He's in the gym at seven in the morning and still doing his stuff at three in the afternoon, so you can't do much more than he's doing at the moment.
"All we've got to do is hope it gets strong. Fred wants to get out there - he doesn't want to get injured again and wants to be fit for the rest of the summer and play a full and active part in this Ashes series."
