Flintoff overshadowed by Ramprakash

Flintoff, who underwent a fourth operation on his left ankle last autumn, bowled six overs in front of England selector Geoff Miller and claimed the wicket of Scott Newman.
But the Londoners were 242 for two when bad light stopped play in the Division One clash with veteran former England batsman Mark Ramprakash yet again demonstrating his evergreen talent with 102 not out and Mark Butcher adding an unbeaten 80.
Murray Goodwin claimed a century as county champions Sussex made a solid start to their title defence against Hampshire at the Rose Bowl.
Chris Adams' side reached 332, thanks in no small part to Goodwin's 121, which included 17 fours. Chris Nash (47), Michael Yardy (46) and Matt Prior (62) all made excellent contributions.
New Zealand paceman Shane Bond impressed on debut for the hosts as he took seven wickets for 66 runs. The hosts then lost an early wicket with Robin Martin-Jenkins trapping Michael Carberry lbw for two to leave Hampshire at four for one.
Darren Pattinson took five for 22 as Nottinghamshire dismissed Kent for 162 at Canterbury. A knock of 79 off 163 balls from Rob Key was the only thing saving the hosts from total embarrassment.
Nottinghamshire were 121 for three in reply at the close of play, with Mark Wagh unbeaten on 52.
