Fogarty added to Ireland squad

John Fogarty has been drafted into Ireland's senior squad ahead of Sunday's clash with Australia as cover for Jerry Flannery.

Munster hooker Flannery was passed fit for the Test at Croke Park on Wednesday after winning his battle with a calf injury.

But despite Flannery participating in training on Friday, Ireland coach Declan Kidney has opted to call up Fogarty as a precaution.

Fogarty was due to play in Friday's A game against Tonga at Ravenhill, so the reshuffle sees his brother Denis start instead.

Ulster's Andy Kyriacou has been promoted to the Irish second string's bench.
