Fourth Test suffers further delay

England's final npower Test against West Indies was again delayed by the weather on Saturday following overnight showers in Chester-le-Street, but it was confirmed play would begin at 2pm.

Heavy rain for three days ensured Friday's opening day was a complete wash-out with umpires Aleem Dar and Billy Bowden calling off play shortly before lunch.

But after the rain finally ceased on Saturday morning, the officials inspected the wicket at mid-day and again at 1pm, before finally deciding play could begin at 2pm as they bid to complete a 3-0 series victory over the tourists.
