Fozzard returns to Saints
22 January 2009
The 32-year-old former Huddersfield and Warrington front-rower spent five seasons at St Helens before joining Rovers on a two-year deal last September.
Fozzard, who has made 23 appearances for Hull KR this year, will be a direct replacement for New Zealand international Jason Cayless, who is quitting St Helens after failing to recover from a shoulder injury.
Saints coach Mick Potter said: "We've definitely suffered from not having one of our front-line props for the whole of this season due to Jason Cayless' injury, and Nick Fozzard will help fill that role well for us next season."
Fozzard, who was in the Saints side beaten by Leeds in last year's Grand Final, said: "I'm absolutely thrilled to be back at the Saints.
"I had a fantastic five seasons there and it will be great to be back with my old team-mates and friends. The Saints fans can expect my absolute best for them next season."
Hull KR coach Justin Morgan said: "I'd like to thank Nick for his contribution. He has done a great job for us and we wish him all the best for next season."
