Svetlana Kuznetsova raced into the third round at Wimbledon on Thursday with a straight-sets victory over Pauline Parmentier.

The fifth seed was on Court Three for just one hour as she posted a 6-1 6-3 result against the Frenchwoman.

Kuznetsova dominated the contest and had 12 break points during the match, converting four of them.

The Russian, who also hit 22 winners against the world number 78, will face either Sabine Lisicki of Germany or Austrian Patricia Mayr in her next match.
