Gay makes history

Tyson Gay became the third man in history to capture gold medals in the 100 and 200metres at the World Championships.

Gay, just four nights after winning the 100m title, stormed to victory over the longer distance in a championship record time of 19.76 seconds.

Jamaican Usain Bolt clocked 19.91secs to finish second, with Gay's USA team-mate Wallace Spearmon (20.05secs) third.

Maurice Greene and Justin Gatlin completed the double in 1999 and 2005 respectively.
