Scrum-half Luke Robinson was also in inspirational form at the Galpharm Stadium, setting up three of the Giants' five tries. Paul Jackson, Scott Moore and Michael Lawrence also touched down as Nathan Brown's men moved three points clear of fourth-placed Hull KR.
Huddersfield still trail leaders St Helens and Leeds by four points and Brown has ruled out a challenge for the top spots, saying; "I believe St Helens and Leeds are likely to finish in the top two. But if we can win some more games at the back end of the season then there's no reason why we can't finish in the top four."
He added: "We've got to build on this result though."
Bradford's hopes of reaching the play-offs suffered another blow as they went down 20-14 to Wigan at the Grattan Stadium despite recovering from 12-0 down to take a late lead.
Martin Gleeson put Wigan back ahead six minutes from time before setting up Amos Roberts for another. Joel Tomkins and Pat Richards touched down earlier before youngster James Donaldson, with his first Bulls try, and Chris Nero replied.
"I'm not interested in any of that at this moment in time," said coach Steve McNamara after his side's fifth straight loss. "I'm just interested in picking the side up and making sure we get some wins between now and the end of the season. We need to focus on that."
Wigan moved up to fifth by extending their winning sequence to four games.
Elsewhere, Catalans Dragons kept their hopes alive by adding to Harlequins' recent woes with a 38-16 win in Perpignan.
