Grosjean injury hands Murray win

Andy Murray is through to the third round of the Artois Championships after Sebastien Grosjean was forced to pull out through injury after two games.

The Frenchman was broken in the first game by the British number one after appearing to pick up a thigh injury which required medical treatment.

Grosjean returned to the court and forced a break point on Murray's serve but retired after losing the game.

"I would rather have won the match normally just because you get more confidence from that, but I got a good hour, 75 minutes on court with the doubles on Monday," said Murray afterwards.

"I didn't see him warming up before the match. He had a problem with his shoulder before the French Open and hurt his hamstring in Monte Carlo so he hasn't played for six or seven weeks, but I didn't expect him to have to quit the match.

"It was at least nice to finish with two aces with a serve as poor as mine!"
