Hadden: World Cup now the focus

He saw his fringe players lose the Barclays Churchill Cup Plate to Ireland A 22-21 at Twickenham on Saturday as he made his final decisions on a provisional squad, and the build-up to France starts on Monday morning.
"We start Monday. Sunday is my annual holiday," said Scotland coach Hadden. "On Monday morning the 26 players not here (at the Churchill Cup) will be turning up ready to go."
Scotland players will know by Tuesday if they have made the last 38, and Hadden will check on the fitness progress of Simon Danielli (groin), Gordon Ross (hand) and Robbie Kydd (shoulder).
Hadden added: "We have a five-week fitness camp with a fitness trainer and those from the 'A' group will join us in a fortnight.
"We might have to wait on a few injury situations but we do not have to cut to 30 for the World Cup until August so we're looking for a group to work with until that point.
"We don't want to work with too many but we have to have enough for 15-a-side at some stage."
Calum MacRae missed a late kick which would have given Scotland A victory over their Ireland counterparts, although his penalty from his own half before the break means he is an option for Hadden.
"He struck the ball pretty well. He'll be disappointed he didn't take the opportunity to win the match," said Hadden.
"We don't tend to do it on one game but there are a lot of guys that deserve to be in the squad and they will hear shortly about our deliberations."
