Harris set for Wales job

The 33-year-old former dual-code international was assistant to Dixon, who is relinquishing the role after parting company with Super League wooden spoonists Celtic Crusaders and returning to Australia.
Harris, who retired as a player from the international game two years ago after Wales failed to qualify for the 2008 World Cup, will take charge of the side for the international against England in Bridgend on October 17 and the European Cup games against Serbia and Ireland.
He won 15 Great Britain caps and, after switching codes and joining Cardiff in 2001, played 25 times for Wales.
Harris is expected to work alongside Clive Griffiths, who was the Wales coach when Harris burst onto the international scene in the 1995 Centenary World Cup.
Griffiths, a former player with St Helens and Salford, quit as Worcester coach earlier this year after a previous stint with Newport Gwent Dragons.
Along with current Wigan coach Brian Noble, Harris is also being widely linked with the vacancy at the Crusaders, although no announcement on that is expected until after Wigan's season ends.
Harris, who captained both Leeds and Bradford in Super League, is halfway through a two-year contract with Championship club Featherstone, where he cut his coaching teeth alongside former Leeds boss Daryl Powell.
He scored Featherstone's match-winning try at Widnes last Friday to set up a Grand Final eliminator at Halifax on Thursday.
